Asbury, NJ Asphalt Roof Replacement

Above are photos from a roof replacement job in Absury, NJ. Asbury is a small, rural town in Warren County. It has several historical buildings, and area homes tend to have generous yards. The homeowner of a split-level home with attached garage asked Warren Thompson & Son Roofing & Siding to evaluate an aging asphalt roof. In addition to curling shingles, the roof was showing some discoloration from years of rainwater runoff and also light streaks in areas where asphalt granules had washed off over time. Because there were already two layers of shingles on the home, our roofing team first removed and disposed of both layers of existing shingles. We carefully covered the entryway stair and shrubbery with tarps to prevent any damage. For this roof, the homeowner selected a grey GAF Timberline HDZ asphalt shingle. This exceptionally durable roofing system comes with a lifetime warranty and even a limited wind warranty – a first in the roofing industry. Prior to installing the GAF Timberline shingles, we added an insulated underlayment to the roof decking.
